Ghana have climbed to 65th in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking following an impressive campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars surged eight places from 73rd to 65th, making them one of the biggest movers in the latest rankings.

The rise follows a series of strong performances in the tournament, highlighted by a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Panama in their opening Group L fixture.

Caleb Yirenkyi’s dramatic stoppage-time winner proved decisive and earned Otto Addo’s side valuable FIFA ranking points.

Ghana now sit on 1,380.71 ranking points, reflecting the team’s resurgence on the international stage after returning to the World Cup and advancing to the knockout rounds.

The improved ranking strengthens Ghana’s position ahead of future international competitions and upcoming World Cup qualifiers, while boosting confidence within the Black Stars camp following their encouraging showing at the global tournament.

Although their World Cup journey ended with a Round of 32 defeat to Colombia, Ghana’s overall performances have been rewarded with a significant rise in the FIFA rankings.
