Nigerian Afrobeats heavyweight Davido has triggered excitement across the African music scene after unveiling Black Sherif as one of the major guest artistes on his forthcoming project, ORIADÉ.
The Ghanaian sensation is featured on a song titled “Amazing Grace,” which occupies the second position on the highly anticipated 13-track album. Its prominent placement immediately after the opening song, “On The Road,” has heightened expectations surrounding the collaboration.
The project brings together a diverse collection of African and international talents, including Leon Thomas, Aya Nakamura, Mayorkun, Fola, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay. The lineup reflects Davido’s continued push to connect different musical cultures while keeping African sounds at the heart of his work.
For Black Sherif, the feature represents another major step in his fast-growing international journey. His distinctive voice, emotional storytelling and fearless musical approach have helped him build a strong audience beyond Ghana. His appearance alongside one of Africa’s biggest stars further strengthens his position as an important voice in the continent’s new generation of musicians.
Although “Amazing Grace” has yet to be fully heard, the combination has already created anticipation among fans eager to discover how Davido’s energetic Afrobeats delivery will connect with Black Sherif’s raw and deeply expressive style.
ORIADÉ, scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, will be Davido’s sixth studio album and his shortest full-length project, with 13 songs. The title combines Yoruba words associated with destiny and royalty, reflecting the singer’s career journey and belief in his purpose.
Davido has already introduced the album through “I Know Who I Be,” featuring JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, and “Gimme Dat Ting” with NO11. However, “Amazing Grace” is quickly becoming one of the project’s most discussed collaborations.
With Black Sherif occupying the coveted second-track position, the Ghana-Nigeria musical connection is once again taking centre stage—and “Amazing Grace” could become one of the defining records on Davido’s new album.
