The incident happened in New Bern on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, after the Amazon delivery driver reportedly exited the vehicle without putting it in park. Moments later, the unattended van began creeping forward toward the home.
Video credited to Joshua Vestal shows the vehicle slowly moving as the driver realizes what is happening. She appears to desperately attempt to stop the van, but the situation quickly spirals out of control.
The van ultimately smashes into the customer’s garage door, leaving behind damage and turning an ordinary package drop-off into a scene few homeowners would ever expect to witness.
The footage has since circulated across social media, where viewers have reacted to the bizarre accident and the driver’s frantic effort to prevent the collision.
According to ABC News, the van rolled into the garage after the driver forgot to put the vehicle in park. The network aired footage of the mishap on August 14, two days after the incident occurred.
