A heartbreaking piece of footage said to be from the final hours of Chicago rapper King Von is stirring strong emotions online, nearly six years after his tragic death.
The video, which began circulating widely on social media, is being described by several accounts as leaked bodycam footage allegedly showing King Von at a hospital as medical staff prepared him for surgery following the shooting that ultimately claimed his life.
The clip has quickly reignited painful memories among fans of the late rapper, with many expressing sadness over seeing what is being presented online as a glimpse into his final moments.
However, the footage should be treated cautiously. Major news organizations and authorities have not independently confirmed that the individual shown in the newly circulating clip is King Von or verified the exact circumstances in which it was recorded.
What is officially established is that King Von, whose real name was Dayvon Bennett, was shot during a confrontation outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta on November 6, 2020. Atlanta police said Bennett was transported to a hospital in a private vehicle after the shooting.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner later confirmed that the 26-year-old rapper died from gunshot wounds to the torso and thighs, ruling his death a homicide.

Bodycam recordings connected to the night of Von’s death have surfaced previously. Earlier footage showed police activity surrounding the shooting and the detention of people associated with the incident, with reports indicating some material was obtained through public-record requests.
The latest video has nevertheless struck an emotional nerve because of what it allegedly captures — a young artist fighting for his life only hours after an ordinary night turned deadly.
King Von had been enjoying a rapid rise in hip-hop before his death, becoming one of Chicago drill music’s most recognizable storytellers.
Years later, his music continues to attract millions of listeners, while newly surfaced footage surrounding that tragic November night continues to remind fans just how suddenly his promising career came to an end.
