Meta billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has once again stunned social media after taking his passion for mixed martial arts to an unusual new level — sparring with UFC star Merab Dvalishvili on a floating platform in the middle of a lake.
The incredible footage, shared on Instagram, shows Zuckerberg trading punches, kicks, clinches and takedowns with the former UFC bantamweight champion while surrounded by water.
Forget the traditional MMA gym or UFC Octagon — this training session took place on a floating barge reportedly positioned on Lake Tahoe, creating a spectacular backdrop for the pair’s latest showdown.
Zuckerberg entered the session wearing protective gloves and shin guards as he attempted to keep pace with Dvalishvili, a fighter famous for his relentless wrestling and cardio.
At one point, Dvalishvili dramatically lifted Zuckerberg off his feet and carried him across the platform toward the water. The action eventually ended with both men taking a plunge into the lake.
Adding another hilarious moment to the viral clip, Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan, was seen paddling nearby in a kayak. Zuckerberg jokingly explained that Dvalishvili had encouraged him to remove his shirt so he would look more like a fighter.

Zuckerberg captioned the latest encounter “Round 2,” continuing a growing friendship and training relationship between the tech billionaire and the Georgian MMA star. The two previously released footage of themselves sparring in a gym in December 2025.
The Facebook and Meta founder has become increasingly serious about combat sports in recent years. He trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and MMA and even competed in a jiu-jitsu tournament in 2023, winning medals before later suffering a serious ACL injury during MMA training.
His continued involvement with UFC fighters has also inevitably revived social-media jokes about the long-discussed possibility of Zuckerberg fighting fellow billionaire Elon Musk, although no such bout is currently confirmed.
For now, Zuckerberg appears perfectly happy turning a peaceful day on the lake into his own floating MMA fight camp — and the viral video certainly has people talking.
