A Philadelphia woman identified as Diamond Betsill has been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery outside a Wawa store in Wilmington, Delaware, after authorities previously sought the public’s help locating her.

According to Delaware State Police, the incident unfolded on September 5, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the Wawa located on Rocky Run Parkway in Wilmington. Troopers initially responded to the location following a report involving a stolen vehicle.

Investigators allege that Betsill, 32, and the victim arrived at the convenience store together in the victim’s vehicle. Police said the pair later became involved in a verbal disagreement that escalated into a physical confrontation.

Authorities allege that during the dispute, Betsill used force to overpower the victim before taking the vehicle and leaving the scene. Police said the victim was not injured during the incident.

Following an investigation, detectives identified Betsill as the suspect and obtained a warrant for her arrest. Delaware State Police subsequently issued a public appeal asking for information about her whereabouts.

The search came to an end on September 15, when authorities arrested Betsill.

Police said she was charged with second-degree robbery, a felony, and later appeared before the Justice of the Peace Court. Betsill was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond following her arraignment.

The arrest brings a major development in a case that had attracted attention after police circulated information seeking the Philadelphia woman.

Authorities have emphasized that the case remains subject to the court process. Like anyone facing criminal charges, Betsill is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
