Caleb Flynn Repeats ‘I Did Not Kill My Wife’ as He Vows to Keep Fighting Conviction

Email 14

Caleb Flynn, the man convicted of murdering his wife, Ashley Flynn, used his sentencing hearing to make one final and emotional declaration: he says he is innocent.

Standing before the court, Flynn acknowledged that he had not always been truthful about events in his life. However, when it came to the killing of his wife, he insisted that he was not responsible.

Flynn told the judge that while he had lied about several matters over the past few years, he was speaking truthfully about the most serious accusation against him. He referenced his faith and said God would ultimately judge him.

He then repeated the words that defined his statement: “I did not kill my wife.”

Flynn also made it clear that he does not plan to quietly accept the conviction. He said he intends to continue fighting to prove his innocence for as long as he is able.

His remarks came after a jury found him guilty in connection with Ashley Flynn’s death. Prosecutors had argued that the evidence presented during the trial showed Flynn was responsible for the killing, while the defense maintained that the state had failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

The sentencing hearing brought another emotional chapter to a case that has attracted significant attention because of the circumstances surrounding Ashley’s death and Flynn’s repeated denial of responsibility.

For Ashley’s loved ones, the conviction and sentencing marked a major moment in their search for justice. For Flynn, however, the legal battle appears far from over.

His courtroom statement suggested that an appeal or other legal challenge could be ahead as he continues to reject the jury’s conclusion.

Despite the conviction and the punishment imposed by the court, Flynn remained firm in his position.

As the hearing came to an end, his message remained unchanged: he believes he was wrongly convicted and says he will continue fighting to clear his name.
