Cardi B made it clear that there are boundaries fans should not cross after a viral video captured an uncomfortable moment during a recent appearance in Las Vegas.
In the widely circulated clip, the Grammy-winning rapper can be seen dancing near the crowd with her back turned when a person appears to reach forward and slap or touch her backside. Cardi wasted no time reacting, immediately knocking the person’s hand away before continuing with the appearance.
The brief encounter quickly gained attention online, with viewers discussing Cardi’s instant response and the importance of respecting performers’ personal space.
The incident reportedly happened during Cardi B’s weekend in Las Vegas around her appearance at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival. Cardi performed at T-Mobile Arena on September 18, delivering a set that included some of her biggest records, including “Bodak Yellow,” “WAP,” “Up” and “I Like It.”

While Cardi is known for energetic performances and getting close to her supporters, the latest video shows that interacting with fans does not automatically mean unwanted physical contact is acceptable.
There was no major confrontation afterward. Cardi appeared to handle the situation within seconds, continued dancing and did not allow the moment to derail the night.
Cardi B has experienced memorable fan interactions before, including another Las Vegas incident in 2023 when she threw a microphone toward the crowd after a concertgoer tossed a drink at her during a performance.
This time, however, Cardi needed only a split second to send the message: keep your hands to yourself.
