UK-based Ghanaian musician Reggie Zippy has sparked concern among fans after sharing an emotional video ahead of a criminal court appearance in the United Kingdom.
The singer, whose real name is Reginald Agyeman, revealed that he is facing legal proceedings and fears he could receive a prison sentence if convicted.
Speaking openly about his situation, Reggie told followers: “I’m going to court, and the court I’m going to is not a civil court but a criminal court. If I’m found guilty, the worst punishment will be that I will go to jail for five years for a crime that my perpetrators know I haven’t committed.”
Reggie maintains that he did not commit the alleged offence. His assertion that others know he is innocent represents his account of the dispute and has not been established by a court.
The musician said he has spent approximately four-and-a-half years dealing with accusations, legal difficulties and criticism that have taken a heavy emotional toll on him.

He also asked supporters to remember him in their prayers, revealing that if he suddenly disappears from social media following the court proceedings, it could mean he has been imprisoned.
Reports indicate that the case concerns an alleged breach of a non-molestation order, a protective court order used in the UK to prohibit specified behaviour such as harassment, threats or unwanted contact. Breaching such an order can carry a maximum prison sentence of five years when dealt with on indictment, although the maximum penalty is not automatically imposed in every conviction.
Reggie also disclosed that he has previously been convicted of breaching a non-molestation order, saying the development had left him concerned about having a criminal record.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his latest court appearance, the former Reggie ’N’ Bollie star said he remains hopeful that the difficult chapter of his life will eventually pass.
His emotional video has since attracted attention as supporters await further developments from the UK court proceedings.
