Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been voted the best Black Stars player for the 2025/26 football season by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ministry of Sports.
Asare’s outstanding performances between the posts have earned him the prestigious recognition following a season in which he established himself as one of Ghana’s standout performers.
The award is set to come with a major prize, with the Hearts of Oak shot-stopper expected to receive a JAC vehicle valued at approximately $36,000.
The recognition represents a significant reward for Asare, whose performances have enhanced his reputation as one of the leading goalkeepers in Ghanaian football.
The GFA and Sports Ministry’s decision further underlines the impact of his contribution to the Black Stars during the 2025/26 campaign.
Asare will now be presented with the vehicle as part of the prize for being adjudged the country’s best Black Stars player for the season.
