Kanye West Dragged to Court as ‘Vultures 2’ Producer Demands Over $110,000 in Explosive Unpaid Work Lawsuit

Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, has been hit with another lawsuit after an anonymous music producer accused the controversial rapper of failing to pay him for extensive work completed on Vultures 2 and other projects.

The producer filed the case under the name John Doe, claiming he was recruited on August 1, 2024—only two days before Vultures 2 was released. According to the complaint, Ye personally supervised intense recording sessions as the producer worked under enormous pressure to help complete the album.

Doe alleges that he generated more than 400 vocal recordings and developed at least 13 customised artificial-intelligence voice models. His reported duties included rebuilding vocals, transforming performances into voices modelled after other artists and providing some of his own recordings as source material.

The producer claims parts of his work eventually appeared on five songs from Vultures 2. He also says he contributed to two released tracks connected to Ye’s Bully project, along with several songs that remain unreleased.

According to the lawsuit, members of Ye’s team acknowledged the producer’s contributions toward the end of 2024 and discussed correcting his credits on music-streaming platforms. Doe claims he was also offered a deal to buy out his master rights, but the promised payment and updated credits never arrived.

The producer says he repeatedly contacted Ye’s business representatives, including former team member Milo Yiannopoulos, in an effort to collect the money he believed he was owed. However, he alleges those attempts failed to produce a resolution.

Doe is demanding at least $110,000 for seven commercially released tracks. The claimed total includes $80,000 for work linked to Vultures 2 and another $30,000 for songs associated with Bully. He is also seeking additional compensation for his contributions to unreleased music.

Beyond financial damages, the producer wants the court to order Ye’s companies to properly credit him across digital streaming services.

Ye had not publicly responded to the allegations at the time the lawsuit was reported. The producer’s claims remain accusations and must be proven through the legal process.
