Popular Ghanaian media personality and Adom TV presenter Cynthia Tima Yeboah, widely known as Tima Kumkum, has confirmed that she and her husband, Dominic Duodu, have separated, ending months of speculation surrounding the state of their marriage.

Tima made the emotional revelation during an interview with Nikki Samonas on Joy Prime’s Changes, disclosing that she and her husband have not lived together since April 1, 2025. Although their marriage has broken down, Tima clarified that their divorce has not yet been legally finalized, with proceedings currently before the court.

The television personality described herself as “partially single,” explaining that she remains legally married until the ongoing divorce process is completed.

Tima and Duodu tied the knot on July 15, 2023, in a marriage that attracted significant public attention. However, according to Tima, the couple lived together as husband and wife for only about one year and nine months before going their separate ways.

Perhaps one of the most emotional parts of her disclosure involved her children. Tima revealed that they had become extremely close to her husband and affectionately called him “Daddy.” When he initially left the family home, she reportedly told the children he had travelled because she struggled to explain the separation. Months later, she eventually told them the truth about what was happening.

Despite confirming the breakdown of the marriage, Tima has chosen not to publicly disclose what caused the separation, maintaining that certain aspects of the relationship should remain private.

She also spoke positively about Duodu’s relationship with their child, describing him as a responsible father who continues to perform his parental duties, including paying school fees.

Following her emotional disclosure, Tima shared a message emphasizing healing, peace and moving forward rather than fighting personal battles publicly.

The confirmation marks the breakdown of Tima Kumkum’s second marriage, something she admitted she never expected to experience again. For now, she says another marriage is far from her mind as she focuses on herself, her children and life beyond the painful separation.
