A US-based Ghanaian man, Jeff Kufi Asare, has attracted widespread attention after being arrested multiple times within a short period in Oklahoma City in connection with separate allegations involving women.
Asare, 26, was reportedly arrested three times within 12 days in August 2026, with authorities investigating allegations ranging from sexual battery and indecent exposure to attempted kidnapping and first-degree rape.
According to Fox News Digital, Oklahoma City police first arrested Asare on August 1 after officers responded to a possible rape report. He was booked on probable-cause allegations of felony sexual battery and felony indecent exposure. Police records reportedly listed attempted forcible rape and forcible fondling among the reported offenses connected to that investigation.
Just five days later, on August 6, Asare was arrested again after police responded to reports involving multiple women at a downtown park. Authorities booked him on probable-cause allegations of attempted kidnapping and felony sexual battery. He also received two city assault-and-battery citations.
The situation escalated further on August 12, when Asare was taken into custody for a third time. Jail records cited by Fox News showed he was booked in connection with a first-degree rape allegation, with bond set at $75,000. Reports said firefighters had alerted police after allegedly seeing Asare restraining a woman along the Lake Hefner Trail.

Court records reviewed by Fox News also showed Asare’s name appearing in at least 18 Oklahoma County court dockets since January 2023. The outlet reported seven previous misdemeanor convictions, including breaking and entering, resisting an officer, shoplifting, trespassing and marijuana possession.
Ghanaian media reports identify Asare as a Ghanaian resident of Oklahoma, and news of his latest arrests has generated significant discussion online.
Importantly, the latest accusations remain allegations. As of the August 17 reporting, the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office said the recent cases had not yet been formally presented for state charges because police investigations were continuing. Asare is entitled to the presumption of innocence on allegations that have not resulted in convictions.
