Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has attracted fresh attention after appearing in a video visiting a GoldBod Jewellery shop following his impressive campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The footage circulating online shows the Hearts of Oak shot-stopper inside the jewellery outlet, where he appeared relaxed while viewing some of the items on display. His visit quickly generated reactions from fans, with many celebrating the goalkeeper’s growing profile and life after football’s biggest tournament.

It remains unclear whether Asare purchased any jewellery during the visit, as no official details about a transaction or the value of the pieces he examined have been released.

GoldBod Jewellery is a subsidiary of the Ghana Gold Board that designs and markets locally produced gold, diamond and precious-stone pieces. The brand promotes Ghanaian craftsmanship while seeking to increase the value the country earns from its mineral resources.

Asare returned to Ghana as one of the Black Stars’ most celebrated performers at the World Cup. He delivered commanding displays during the group stage, including a memorable performance against England, where he made several important saves to help Ghana secure a goalless draw.

The experienced goalkeeper also became the first Ghana Premier League shot-stopper to earn significant playing time for the Black Stars at a World Cup, strengthening his reputation as one of the tournament’s inspiring success stories.

Ghana eventually exited the competition after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Colombia in the Round of 32. Despite the disappointment, Asare returned home to widespread praise for his composure, reflexes and determination throughout the campaign.

His rise has been particularly remarkable because of the difficult journey he endured before reaching the global stage. Asare previously revealed that he worked as a mason, carpenter, head porter and commercial bus conductor while struggling to establish himself in professional football.

The new GoldBod Jewellery video therefore represents more than a simple shopping visit for many supporters. It captures a player enjoying the rewards of perseverance after rising from humble beginnings to become Ghana’s trusted goalkeeper on the world stage.

With his World Cup performances raising his international reputation, Benjamin Asare appears to be entering a new chapter filled with recognition, opportunities and growing public interest.
