Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale has publicly expressed deep frustration with members of his management team, accusing them of failing to create meaningful business opportunities for the Shatta Movement brand.
The outspoken musician unleashed his anger during a TikTok Live session on August 3, 2026, shortly after the controversy surrounding the cancellation of his ShattaFest UK event. Shatta Wale claimed that he carries almost the entire financial burden of his career while the people around him contribute little toward generating revenue.
According to the “On God” hitmaker, no member of his crew can confidently claim to have secured a major financial deal or sponsorship to support the movement. He complained that he is constantly forced to search for money himself, even though he expects his management team to identify and develop profitable opportunities.
Shatta Wale suggested that some loyal fans have shown greater initiative in connecting him to opportunities than members of his official team. His fiery comments have raised fresh questions about whether a major shake-up could be coming within the Shatta Movement camp.
The dancehall star reserved some of his strongest criticism for his media and public-relations manager, Sammy Flex. Shatta Wale accused the veteran broadcaster of wasting too much time discussing Stonebwoy and engaging in unnecessary online exchanges instead of using his media platform to strengthen the Shatta Wale brand and generate income.
He argued that Sammy Flex continues to approach podcasting as though he were operating in the traditional radio era. Shatta Wale questioned the value of repeatedly discussing Stonebwoy when Sammy Flex TV could be used more effectively to promote projects, attract partnerships and expand the Shatta Movement’s commercial influence.
The outburst comes weeks after Shatta Wale publicly praised Sammy Flex for understanding him better than many people in Ghana’s entertainment industry. At the time, he credited the media personality with helping educate the public about his brand despite their occasional disagreements.
However, the latest criticism suggests that tension may be growing behind the scenes.
ShattaFest UK was called off following safety concerns and a huge crowd turnout, placing the organisers and Shatta Wale’s team under intense public scrutiny.
