Two brothers already facing proceedings over the Tuba car dealer murder case have appeared before an Accra Circuit Court in another dramatic case involving an alleged break-in at the residence of former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.
Video circulating from the court appearance shows suspects being escorted under security as attention intensifies around allegations that valuable property, including pistols, football medals, expensive watches and jewellery, was stolen from Gyan’s home.
The brothers, Adams Adder Almeida and Bala Bilyon, are among three suspects reported to have appeared in court on Thursday, August 27, 2026, over the alleged theft.
The development has attracted even greater attention because Almeida and Bilyon are separately accused in connection with the fatal shooting of 54-year-old car dealer Rahman Mohammed at Beach Drive Estate in Tuba, near Weija.
Police say Rahman and his wife, Christiana Fosu, were shot on August 6 after returning from an evening walk. Rahman later died from his injuries, while Fosu was taken to hospital for treatment.
Investigators previously said a pistol believed to have been used in the Tuba shooting was recovered from the room shared by the brothers. Police alleged that Almeida admitted during questioning to shooting the couple, although the murder case remains before the courts and the allegations have not yet been proven at trial.
The latest court proceedings have now created another startling connection: reports allege that a pistol recovered during the murder investigation may have been among weapons stolen from Asamoah Gyan’s residence.

Gyan, Ghana’s former captain and record international goalscorer, is not accused of any wrongdoing. His involvement in the matter is as the reported victim of the alleged theft.
The Tuba murder proceedings involving the brothers were earlier adjourned until September 28, with prosecutors telling the court that police were preparing the docket for the Attorney-General’s advice.
With the suspects now appearing in connection with another high-profile case, investigators and the courts are expected to closely examine how the alleged burglary and the weapon recovered during the murder investigation may be connected.
