A routine journey from Tenerife to Liverpool descended into frightening chaos after a large fight broke out inside an easyJet aircraft, forcing the captain to abandon the trip and return to the departure airport.
Flight EZY3352 had been in the air for approximately 30 minutes on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, when a violent confrontation reportedly erupted among a group of about 10 passengers.
The disturbance became so serious that the flight crew alerted air traffic controllers and requested police assistance. With the situation posing a potential danger to passengers, employees and the safe operation of the aircraft, the captain made the immediate decision to turn back toward Tenerife South Airport.
The aircraft, which was carrying up to 186 passengers, was given priority as controllers coordinated its return with airport authorities. Police officers were waiting on the ground when the plane landed safely on the Spanish island.
