Popular Kumasi-based radio personality DJ KA, born Rexford Kwadwo Adu Ntim, has returned to the airwaves at Kessben FM, weeks after a viral private-video controversy forced him away from his broadcasting duties.
The presenter reportedly resumed work on Monday, August 17, 2026, marking a major comeback after weeks of intense public scrutiny and uncertainty surrounding his future at the station.
DJ KA was taken off duty by Kessben Media in July after a private video involving him and a woman circulated widely across social media. The company subsequently announced that it had launched an internal inquiry and asked the broadcaster to remain away from his duties while the matter was being examined.
Following the controversy, DJ KA publicly apologised for recording the footage, while maintaining that he was not responsible for releasing it online. He also expressed regret over the embarrassment the situation caused and acknowledged the impact it had on the brands associated with him.
For several weeks, fellow broadcaster Fante Quoo reportedly handled Kessben FM’s Drive Time programme while DJ KA remained off air. His absence sparked conversations among listeners about whether he would eventually return to the station.
Those questions have now been answered.
DJ KA’s return was announced on social media, with supporters flooding the comments section with messages welcoming him back behind the microphone. According to reports, his temporary break was also intended to give him space to regroup following the intense attention generated by the controversy.
However, Kessben Media has not publicly disclosed detailed findings from its internal investigation into the incident.
The comeback comes shortly after DJ KA hinted that a “different journey” could be ahead after posing with Multimedia executive Omanhene Kwabena Asante, raising speculation about his next professional move.
For now, however, DJ KA is back where many listeners know him best — behind the microphone at Kessben FM.
After weeks dominated by controversy, criticism and uncertainty, the broadcaster’s return signals the beginning of another chapter in his radio career.
