The dramatic arrest unfolded on Thursday, August 6, 2026, near a Target store in Midtown Miami. Video from the scene shows several police vehicles gathered around Powell’s luxury SUV before she stepped from the driver’s side and walked toward the front of the Lamborghini as officers remained nearby.
Powell later told TMZ that she was arrested for allegedly driving with a suspended license. According to her account, she had already received around 10 tickets or citations connected to similar license issues, which she believes contributed to officers taking her into custody instead of simply issuing another citation.
