Concern is growing across Ghana’s gospel music community following reports that veteran gospel musician Bernice Offei has gone missing in Accra.
According to a missing-person notice currently circulating, the 63-year-old award-winning singer and songwriter was last seen on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, around Nyaho-Tamakloe Street in Agbogba, Accra. Her whereabouts have reportedly remained unknown since then, prompting an urgent appeal for information from members of the public.
At the time of publication, the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remained unclear, and an official police statement detailing what may have happened had not surfaced in the sources reviewed.
Offei is regarded as one of the respected voices from Ghana’s celebrated era of gospel music.
