Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been transferred from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to another federal facility, marking the latest development in his increasingly turbulent time behind bars.
Reports of the transfer emerged on October 16, 2026, just days after Combs was taken to a hospital with a head injury. The exact prison to which the 56-year-old entertainer has reportedly been moved was not immediately disclosed.
Combs had been serving his federal sentence at Fort Dix, a low-security institution, after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He received a 50-month prison sentence and has continued to appeal his conviction and punishment.
His time at Fort Dix has recently attracted intense scrutiny. Earlier this month, reports surfaced alleging that Combs had been placed in solitary confinement following accusations involving prohibited items and other prison-rule violations. His projected release date has also changed several times.
Adding to the controversy, Combs was hospitalized on October 10 after suffering a head injury. Some reports claimed the injury occurred during an altercation with another inmate, while his family disputed those accounts. A Federal Bureau of Prisons representative reportedly denied that an inmate fight had occurred, leaving the exact circumstances surrounding the injury unclear.
The reported prison transfer comes as authorities continue to keep details surrounding Combs’ confinement largely private. Federal prison officials routinely decline to discuss specific inmate movements or security decisions.
As of publication, the Federal Bureau of Prisons had not publicly confirmed the reported new facility, meaning details surrounding the transfer remain limited.
Combs, once one of the most powerful figures in the American music industry, now continues serving his sentence while his attorneys pursue legal challenges to his conviction.
