Music legend Lionel Richie has been released from the hospital after spending three days under medical care, including time in the intensive care unit, following a frightening health scare that left fans deeply concerned.

The 77-year-old Grammy-winning superstar is reportedly back at his Los Angeles home and is said to be “doing great” after doctors carried out precautionary cardiac tests during his hospitalization.

Richie checked himself into a St. Louis hospital after performing at The Muny on Saturday, August 29. During the concert, fans noticed that the legendary entertainer appeared to be struggling physically. Toward the end of the show, he reportedly requested a chair and performed his final number while seated.

The scene immediately triggered concern among concertgoers, especially because Richie has experienced another health-related incident onstage in recent months.

Initial reports suggested possible mild dehydration, while further reports indicated doctors were conducting tests related to potential cardiac concerns. Richie remained hospitalized for approximately three days before being cleared to return home on Wednesday, September 2.

Richie previously experienced dizziness during a June performance in St. Paul, Minnesota, forcing him to end that concert early and postpone subsequent tour dates while recovering.
