Tyson Fury has delivered another emphatic victory on his comeback journey, overpowering Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach in a one-sided contest in Pattaya, Thailand.
The former world heavyweight champion secured a seventh-round technical knockout at Max Muay Thai Stadium on Friday, July 24, 2026. After dominating the opening rounds, Fury continued piling pressure on his 46-year-old opponent until Wach’s corner brought the punishment to an end before the eighth round.
Fury controlled the fight with his trademark movement, sharp jab and frequent stance switches. He repeatedly connected with combinations to the head and body while Wach struggled to produce any sustained response.
Despite entering the ring more than 26 pounds lighter than his opponent, Fury looked faster, fresher and technically superior throughout the contest. He weighed 265 pounds, while Wach tipped the scales at 291.4 pounds.
Wach remained on his feet and occasionally attempted to answer with powerful right hands, but the accumulated punishment eventually became too much. His team stopped the contest after seven completed rounds, handing Fury his first stoppage victory since defeating Derek Chisora in December 2022.
The low-key event was attended by approximately 1,500 spectators and was not broadcast live on television or an official streaming platform. Footage from the bout is expected to appear in the third season of Fury’s Netflix reality series, At Home With the Furys. Proceeds from the event were pledged to charities supporting disadvantaged children in Pattaya.
Although Wach was widely viewed as a carefully selected warm-up opponent, the victory gave Fury seven valuable rounds and allowed him to test his conditioning against a naturally bigger heavyweight.
The win continues Fury’s return following consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024 and a subsequent retirement announcement. He had already restarted his career with a unanimous-decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov in London in April 2026.
Attention will now turn toward the long-awaited all-British showdown between Fury and Anthony Joshua, reportedly targeted for November. Joshua must first overcome Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia before the blockbuster encounter can move forward.
Fury has completed his side of the assignment in ruthless fashion. The “Gypsy King” left Thailand victorious, revitalised and another major step closer to finally sharing the ring with Joshua.
