VIDEO: Tyson Fury Dwarfed at Weigh-In as Mariusz Wach Brings Massive 26-Pound Advantage Into Thailand Showdown

Tyson Fury and Mariusz Wach have completed their official weigh-in ahead of their heavyweight clash in Pattaya, Thailand, setting the stage for an intriguing battle between two towering veterans.

In footage from the weigh-in, both fighters stepped onto the scales before sharing a final face-off. Fury appeared relaxed and playful, while Wach maintained a calm presence as the significant weight difference between them became the biggest talking point.

Former world heavyweight champion Fury weighed 265 pounds, while his Polish opponent tipped the scales at 291.4 pounds. Wach will therefore enter the ring 26.4 pounds heavier than the British star.

The weight difference places Fury in an unusual position. The 6-foot-9 boxer is typically the larger man during his fights, but this time he will face an opponent carrying considerably more weight.

Fury even joked about the situation after the face-off, acknowledging that he had rarely encountered a rival heavier than himself. Despite the size disadvantage, the “Gypsy King” looked lean and confident as he completed the final formalities before fight night.

The contest will take place on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya. It represents another important step in Fury’s comeback following his recent victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov.

Wach, 46, brings extensive experience into the bout. The former world-title challenger has shared the ring with several leading heavyweights and is known for his durability, physical strength and ability to absorb punishment.

Although Fury is widely expected to win, Wach’s size and experience mean the former champion cannot afford to become careless. Fury will likely rely on movement, timing and superior boxing ability to neutralize his opponent’s weight advantage.

The fight is also being viewed as preparation for Fury’s long-awaited meeting with British rival Anthony Joshua later in 2026. Joshua must first overcome Kristian Prenga in his own upcoming contest before the proposed blockbuster can move forward.

Unlike Fury’s usual major events, the Thailand bout will not be broadcast live. Footage is expected to feature in a future season of the Netflix reality series At Home With the Furys, while proceeds from the event are intended to support disadvantaged children in Pattaya.

With the weigh-in completed, attention now turns to the ring, where Fury must overcome one of the heaviest opponents of his career to keep his anticipated showdown with Joshua firmly on track.
